Brewing Technician – Craft Beer Production

About the role

Join the Brewtown Brewery team in Upper Hutt and work alongside experienced craft brewers to produce premium beers. Reporting to the Head Brewer, you will support the full brewing process while maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate brewing machinery to produce beer, cider and related beverages.
• Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of plant equipment to high standards.
• Apply health and safety procedures and champion safety across the brewery.
• Identify and resolve process losses through problem‑solving and continuous improvement.
• Conduct laboratory testing of products when required.

Required profile

• Passion for beer and craft brewing.
• Tertiary qualification in Science, Food Science, Engineering or a related field.
• At least 1 year experience in FMCG process manufacturing.
• Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.
• Willingness to study towards an IBD Brewing Diploma.
