Branch Manager – Rotorua & Taupō

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious leader passionate about customer service to join BNZ in a regional leadership role. Based across the Rotorua and Taupō branches, you will empower a dynamic team of full‑service bankers to embody BNZ’s values and drive growth for consumer and small‑business customers.

Key responsibilities

• Drive overall branch performance through coaching, mentoring and clear direction.
• Ensure a consistent, engaging customer experience for every BNZ client.
• Lead collaboration between branch, partner and private networks to coordinate market opportunities.
• Work with the Head of Branch/Region to develop and implement annual business plans that meet financial and team targets.

Required profile

• Proactive self‑starter with excellent communication skills.
• Leadership experience with a proven record of developing and managing staff performance.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver great customer outcomes and role‑model behaviours.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to handle challenging situations.
• Accountability for risk and compliance.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of financial products and services.
• Strong technical capability and understanding of banking systems.
