Bid Manager – Lead Competitive Tender Submissions

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking an experienced Bid Manager to lead the end‑to‑end delivery of competitive tenders for infrastructure and renewable energy projects across New Zealand. The role will be based in Auckland and will drive bid strategy, coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure compliant, high‑quality submissions that align with the company’s sustainability and growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full tender lifecycle (EOI, RFP, submission) and ensure proposals are delivered on time and meet all commercial and technical requirements.
• Develop winning bid strategies, define win themes, value propositions and client‑focused messaging.
• Coordinate technical, commercial and leadership stakeholders to produce cohesive, high‑impact bid documents.
• Build and maintain strategic client relationships, influence procurement approaches and align bids with future client needs.
• Integrate pricing, cost modelling and risk mitigation to deliver commercially sound proposals.
• Prepare approval documentation and ensure adherence to governance, procurement rules and internal authority limits.
• Continuously improve bid processes, tools and methodologies to increase efficiency and consistency.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in bid management, proposals, project coordination or a related field.
• Proven ability to produce clear, persuasive, client‑focused submission documents and executive summaries.
• Strong understanding of compliance requirements, bid governance and structured submission processes (EOI/RFP).
