Banking & Finance Associate / Senior Associate (3-7 PQE) – Sydney

About the role

We are seeking a Banking & Finance Associate or Senior Associate (3‑7 years post‑qualification experience) to join our high‑performing banking team in Sydney. The successful candidate will work on sophisticated finance transactions for major financial institutions, domestic and international lenders, and corporate borrowers.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on acquisition finance, leveraged finance, real estate finance and cross‑border lending transactions.
• Collaborate closely with market‑leading partners on complex mandates.
• Prepare and review financing documentation, including loan agreements and security documents.
• Support client negotiations and manage transaction timelines in a fast‑paced market.

Required profile

• New Zealand‑qualified lawyer with eligibility for admission in New South Wales.
• 3–7 years of post‑qualification experience in banking and finance law.
• Demonstrated experience in leveraged, acquisition or real estate finance.
• Previous experience at a top‑tier New Zealand law firm or an equivalent highly regarded practice.
