Banking Consultant / Personal Banker

About the role

The Banking Consultant / Personal Banker will be the first point of contact for customers at the Manukau Mall branch, helping them with everyday banking transactions and guiding them through more complex financial decisions. The role combines face‑to‑face service with promotion of digital banking tools, aiming to make banking simple and accessible.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers and assist with a wide range of banking needs.
• Conduct meaningful conversations to understand each customer’s priorities.
• Introduce and demonstrate digital banking tools in an easy‑to‑use manner.
• Guide customers through account opening, detail updates, and product exploration.
• Maintain compliance and safeguard banking operations.
• Collaborate with team members and celebrate collective successes.

Required profile

• Exceptional customer focus; retail experience is a plus.
• Comfortable using and promoting technology and digital channels.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to change and ambiguity.
• Willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Sound understanding of compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
