Backend DevOps Engineer

About the role

Soffi is seeking a full‑time remote Backend DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain the backend infrastructure that powers its collaborative workspaces. You will ensure the platform is reliable, scalable, and secure while working closely with product, design, and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and improve infrastructure‑as‑code (IaC) for provisioning and managing backend resources.
• Design, configure, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Administer Linux‑based systems in cloud and hybrid environments, including performance tuning and security hardening.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot production incidents, and implement remediation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate backend services with customer applications and design systems.
• Create and maintain documentation and operational best‑practice guides.

Required profile

• Strong experience with IaC tools and practices.
• Solid background in Linux system administration.
• Familiarity with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container orchestration.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, cross‑functional team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
