Azure Cloud Engineer – Financial Services

About the role

This position supports the design, build and operational health of a cloud‑first, security‑by‑design platform for a financial services organisation. Working within a broader infrastructure team, you will apply hands‑on expertise across Azure, Microsoft 365 and Zero Trust network access.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and optimise Azure cloud platform services.
• Define and maintain Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines, and migrate existing workloads to Azure.
• Manage and improve Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Intune and Conditional Access.
• Implement Zero Trust and secure access solutions with Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA).
• Provide operational support for legacy infrastructure such as Windows servers and Active Directory.
• Document knowledge‑base articles, support asset management and ensure compliance activities are up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with Azure IaaS/PaaS (compute, networking, identity, automation).
• Deep engineering knowledge of Microsoft 365 components.
• Practical experience with Zscaler ZIA/ZPA or comparable Zero Trust platforms.
• Strong scripting and automation skills, especially PowerShell and IaC tooling.
• Proven track record of migrating workloads to the cloud.
• Relevant certifications such as AZ‑104, AZ‑305 and Microsoft 365 Enterprise Admin are a plus.
• Clear, concise communication abilities.
