Automotive Technician – Full‑time Service Role

About the role
Eastland Toyota is seeking a full‑time Automotive Technician to join its high‑performing Service team in Gisborne. The role is open to qualified Master Technicians, experienced mechanics without formal tickets, and apprentices in their second or third year who are eager to develop their skills.
Key responsibilities
- Perform scheduled servicing, repairs and maintenance on a range of Toyota vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical and electronic faults using workshop tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Complete Work‑Ready (WOF) inspections where applicable.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high customer satisfaction.
Required profile
- Automotive qualification, solid workshop experience, or currently completing a 2nd/3rd‑year apprenticeship.
- Clean, full NZ driver’s licence.
- Positive team attitude and pride in workmanship.
- Good communication skills and legal right to work in New Zealand.
