Assurance Senior Associate – Wellington

About the role

PwC is seeking an experienced auditor to join its Assurance team in Wellington as a Senior Associate. You will work on a variety of external audit engagements for both public and private sector clients, contributing to high‑quality audit outcomes and building public trust.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior staff on statutory audit engagements, from planning through final review.
• Deliver high‑quality audits of financial statements, ensuring compliance with policies, standards and internal controls.
• Engage directly with clients to understand business needs and provide audit insights.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff and graduates, supporting their professional development.
• Leverage leading‑edge technology and PwC audit methodology to enhance audit quality and efficiency.

Required profile

• Qualified auditor with experience in external audit engagements.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
