Associate Director – Corporate Credit Management

About the role

The Associate Director will lead the end‑to‑end credit approval process for new and existing corporate clients within ANZ's Institutional Corporate Relationships team. This 12‑month fixed‑term position is based in Auckland and focuses on delivering high‑quality credit analysis, portfolio monitoring, and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to originate new business opportunities and enhance customer outcomes.
• Lead the full credit cycle for corporate customers, including counter‑party credit analysis, financial forecasting, and industry analysis.
• Collaborate with Senior Relationship Managers, Credit Risk, Markets, Trade Finance, and Transaction Banking to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Manage a portfolio of corporate clients, monitoring financial and operational risk to maintain credit quality.
• Ensure processes, procedures, and reporting meet performance targets and support the New Zealand Corporate Relationships business objectives.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in corporate banking, particularly within credit and relationship banking environments.
• Strong conceptual thinking and the ability to communicate complex analyses clearly.
• Highly organized with a keen eye for detail and the capacity to manage competing priorities.
• Understanding of credit, market, and operational risk across customers, products, and the firm.
