Assistant Restaurant Manager – Luxury Resort

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time, permanent Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our boutique luxury resort. In this position you will help deliver an exceptional dining experience, coordinate the restaurant team and support day‑to‑day operations such as inventory, scheduling and quality control.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure a memorable guest dining experience, especially for VIP guests.
• Coordinate and support the restaurant team to maintain smooth service flow.
• Manage inventory, ordering and stock control.
• Prepare staff schedules and monitor labour costs.
• Oversee quality control and uphold fine‑dining standards.
• Utilise the property’s Hospitality Management System for reporting and reservations.

Required profile

• Background in fine‑dining and wine service.
• Previous supervisory experience in Food & Beverage at boutique lodges or 5‑star properties.
• Excellent communication and a team‑oriented mindset.
• Strong attention to detail and genuine passion for guest experience.
• Immaculate personal presentation and ability to build relationships.

• Competitive salary of $70,000‑$72,000 NZD per year.
