AI Transformation Manager

About the role

The AI Transformation Manager will lead the implementation of Russell McVeagh’s AI strategy, turning strategic priorities into practical initiatives that improve legal service delivery and client outcomes. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, you will work closely with partners, lawyers and business services leaders to embed AI responsibly across the firm.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the AI Transformation Team, including specialist AI and legal‑engineering capabilities.
• Drive firm‑wide AI adoption through engagement, communication and change‑management programmes.
• Partner with legal, knowledge, risk, technology and business services teams to deliver AI priorities.
• Identify, develop and implement AI‑enabled solutions that enhance service delivery and client results.
• Lead experimentation and innovation through the AI Labs programme.
• Monitor adoption, benefits, risks and user feedback to continuously improve initiatives.
• Support governance, risk management and responsible AI practices across the firm.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading technology adoption, change management or digital transformation programmes.
• Strong understanding of generative AI and emerging legal technology.
• Track record of delivering AI‑enabled use cases that generate measurable business value.
• Ability to redesign and optimise workflows for an AI‑enabled future.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary or specialist teams.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Background in legal, professional services, consulting, technology or transformation environments is advantageous.
