Activities Coordinator – Aged Care

About the role

We are looking for an Activities Coordinator to join Rosewood Lifecare, a 64‑bed care home in Linwood, Christchurch. This permanent full‑time position (32 + hours per week, Monday‑Friday) involves planning and delivering activity programmes that support the physical, spiritual, cultural, cognitive and emotional wellbeing of our residents.

Key responsibilities

• Design, organise and facilitate daily activities, outings and special events for residents.
• Tailor programmes to meet individual needs, including dementia‑friendly and psychogeriatric activities.
• Collaborate with community groups and external providers to enrich the activity calendar.
• Maintain a safe, caring environment and support team members in delivering activities.
• Build lasting relationships with residents, families and whānau.

Required profile

• Proven experience caring for others, preferably in an aged‑care setting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
• Full NZ driver’s licence and confidence driving a van for outings.
• Genuine passion for helping people and a positive, customer‑service mindset.
• Commitment to health and safety procedures and continuous improvement.
