Account Manager – Western Southland Region

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Account Manager to lead our customer relationships in the Western Southland region of New Zealand. You will be the main point of contact for dairy farms using Halter’s livestock‑tracking technology, helping them maximise productivity and sustainability. The role combines sales, technical onboarding and ongoing farmer support to drive measurable business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Own revenue retention, renewals and expansion targets for existing customers in the region.
• Manage account renewals and identify upsell opportunities by delivering measurable on‑farm value.
• Lead deployment activities, including onboarding, training and implementation of the Halter system on farms.
• Build trusted relationships with farmers, their teams and families, understanding their goals and challenges.
• Partner with customers to set clear business objectives, timelines and performance metrics to ensure farmer success.
• Provide regular performance reports and insights to demonstrate the value of the Halter system.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in account management, sales or customer success, preferably in an agricultural setting.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently across the Western Southland region.
• Passion for innovative farming technologies and sustainability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote support team.
