Account Manager Internship – Sales & Business Development

About the role

EC Markets is offering a part‑time Account Manager internship in Auckland, giving students first‑hand exposure to New Zealand and global financial markets. The role focuses on client acquisition, relationship management and supporting the sales team while you receive comprehensive training in FX fundamentals, trading platforms and risk control.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage potential clients through online and offline channels.
• Assist with marketing and promotional activities.
• Learn financial market concepts, FX basics, trading strategies and platform operations.
• Respond to client enquiries professionally and help build long‑term trust.
• Gather client feedback and market trends to support product optimisation.
• Set personal sales targets and work towards achieving them.

Required profile

• Strong motivation to earn and develop professionally.
• Interest in financial markets, especially Forex and CFDs.
• Willingness to engage in sales, communication and client service.
• Good learning ability, communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Previous experience in sales or marketing is a plus but not required.
