Account Manager – Export

About the role

The Account Manager – Export will join Kraft Heinz’s New Zealand sales team, driving growth of our export portfolio. You will work in a hybrid model, spending three days in the Newmarket office and two days remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Lead customer negotiations to maximise net sales value (NSV) and contribution margin (CMA) while meeting monthly and annual KPIs.
• Develop and execute the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for volume, LSV, NSV and CMA across the assigned portfolio.
• Manage marketing budgets, trade spend and claims to ensure efficient use of company resources.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships and identify new business opportunities.
• Liaise with internal teams – marketing, demand planning, logistics and customer service – to ensure smooth plan delivery.
• Provide category and SKU‑level inputs for demand planning and produce regular sales performance reports.
• Develop Joint Business Plans (JBP) with key customers and run tactical marketing programmes.
• Set pricing, manage promotions, grow distribution of new products and ensure portfolio compliance with local regulations.
• Coordinate order execution, conduct market research, scout and onboard new distributors.

Required profile

• Resilient, energetic, confident and curious with strong attention to detail.
• Organised, analytical and good listening skills.
• Tertiary qualification – a degree in Sales, Marketing or Business is a plus.
• Proven negotiating and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• 3‑5 years of experience in Sales, Marketing or Business Development within FMCG or FMCG distribution.
