Account Executive – Health (New Zealand Public Sector)

About the role

The Account Executive for Health will lead cloud adoption and digital transformation initiatives across New Zealand's public‑sector health organisations. You will work closely with entities such as Health New Zealand and the Accident Compensation Corporation to align AWS solutions with their patient‑outcome and operational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Own and grow strategic relationships with key health sector accounts in the public sector.
• Develop and execute account plans that match AWS services to healthcare outcomes and digital‑transformation objectives.
• Drive revenue through new workload acquisition and expansion of existing contracts.
• Collaborate with Solutions Architects, Partner teams and AWS service groups to design compliant, secure solutions.
• Lead proof‑of‑concepts, pilots and demos that showcase AI‑driven diagnostics and cloud‑based patient data platforms.
• Engage C‑level executives, IT leaders and clinical stakeholders, representing AWS at industry events.
• Produce accurate forecasts, pipeline reports and market‑trend analyses for the health portfolio.

Required profile

• Deep understanding of New Zealand health‑sector challenges, regulatory frameworks (Privacy Act, Health Information Privacy Code) and public‑sector procurement cycles.
• Proven experience selling complex cloud solutions to public‑sector or healthcare organisations.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with senior executives and clinical leaders.
• Ability to translate technical capabilities into measurable patient‑outcome and cost‑benefit narratives.
