Site Supervisor – Shotcrete (Construction)

About the role

Groundfix Limited is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to lead shotcrete operations across multiple sites in New Zealand. You will coordinate crews, ensure safety and quality standards, and manage the specialised equipment required for sprayed concrete applications.

Key responsibilities

• Train, supervise and schedule shotcrete crews.
• Coordinate daily sprayed concrete and ground‑support activities.
• Ensure shotcrete is applied to specification, including thickness, finish and quality.
• Oversee reinforcing steel and mesh installation.
• Conduct pre‑start meetings, toolbox talks and safety inspections.
• Manage site productivity, labour allocation and workflow sequencing.
• Maintain compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Complete site documentation, QA records and reporting.
• Coordinate maintenance and operation of shotcrete pumps and related plant.

Required profile

• 2–5+ years of supervisory or leading‑hand experience in shotcrete or related ground‑support work.
• Full clean driver’s licence.
• NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
• Willingness to travel to sites outside Auckland.
• Ability to pass pre‑employment medical and drug screening.

Required skills

• Shotcrete application and equipment operation.
• QA/QC procedures for sprayed concrete.
• Reinforcing steel and mesh installation.
• Interpretation of construction drawings and specifications.
• Ground support techniques for tunnelling, mining or civil projects.
• Understanding of complex steel detailing.
