Senior Test Lead – Banking (Wellington/Auckland)

About the role

Capgemini is looking for two experienced Senior Test Leads to join its New Zealand delivery team. The role is a 6‑month fixed‑term contract based in either Wellington or Auckland, supporting key banking initiatives across digital and customer‑facing platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage the overall test strategy, plans, scope, schedule, governance, risks and stakeholder approvals.
• Coordinate testing activities across project, technology, vendor and business teams for mobile, internet banking and related services.
• Provide guidance on test approaches, resourcing and templates to ensure test artefacts are fit for purpose.
• Ensure end‑to‑end coverage of business processes, customer journeys, integrations, data migration, regression and user‑acceptance testing.
• Monitor test execution, quality metrics and defect resolution, delivering regular status reports and deployment readiness assessments.
• Maintain audit‑compliant testing evidence and support business‑led testing initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading multiple testing streams in complex delivery environments.
• Strong test‑management expertise, including planning, documentation, defect management and governance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills with the ability to influence across business and technology.
• Highly organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities in fast‑paced settings.
• Resilient, adaptable and outcome‑focused with a track record of delivering results.
