Senior Dealer – Market Sales

About the role

The Commercial and Corporate Sales team at ANZ manages a diverse portfolio of customers, providing foreign exchange and interest‑rate solutions, including derivatives. As a Senior Dealer you will sit at the intersection of customer engagement, market expertise and disciplined execution, working closely with Relationship Managers to support commercial and corporate clients across New Zealand.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver timely and accurate FX and rates product execution for commercial and corporate customers, following agreed processes and controls.
• Partner with Relationship Managers and clients to design fit‑for‑purpose hedging solutions that match customer needs, product suitability and risk profiles.
• Apply sound risk judgement across pricing, structuring and execution while operating within credit limits, delegated authorities and policy settings.
• Maintain strong risk discipline and conduct, adhering to internal policies, regulatory requirements and market standards.
• Build and maintain trusted customer relationships, providing ongoing engagement, education and activity monitoring.

Required profile

• Hold or obtain within the first weeks the relevant NZFMA Core and FX/IR accreditation, ELAC and NFA.
• Strong experience in a financial‑markets or market‑facing role with exposure to sales, execution or dealing activities.
• Solid knowledge of FX, interest‑rate and derivatives products, and ability to apply this knowledge in client conversations.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑management skills, with the ability to explain market concepts clearly.
• High attention to detail, risk awareness and ability to operate within credit, legal and policy frameworks.
