Registered Nurse - In Patient Unit

About the role

We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join the In‑Patient Unit at Mercy Hospice in Auckland. The role involves providing specialist palliative care to patients with life‑limiting illnesses and supporting their families and whānau.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver holistic nursing care that addresses physical, emotional, social, cultural and spiritual needs.
• Assess, plan and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and medication administration records.
• Provide education and support to patients, families and caregivers.
• Participate in 24/7 rostered shifts to ensure continuous coverage.

Required profile

• Current NZ Annual Practicing Certificate.
• Minimum two years of nursing experience (palliative care experience preferred but not essential; new graduates will be considered).
• Passion for delivering high‑quality, compassionate care.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
