Programme Assistant - Kumue Cluster

About the role

sKids, part of Junior Adventures Group, creates out-of-school experiences for children across New Zealand. As a Programme Assistant in the Kumue Cluster, you will be the friendly face behind the scenes during afternoons and after-school sessions, working a minimum of 5 hours per week, rostered Monday to Friday between 2.30pm and 6.00pm. Availability from 2.30pm is essential, though finish times may vary; school holiday programmes (7am-6pm) may also be available.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and support children in a range of fun, safe activities
• Keep the spaces tidy, clean and welcoming for children
• Help the Programme Manager run smooth, energetic sessions
• Notice any issues with behaviour, wellbeing or safety and share them with the manager

Required profile

• Right to work in New Zealand (valid visa or citizenship)
• Able to reach the Waimauku and Taupaki site(s) reliably by public transport and/or by car
• Enthusiasm for working with children, from babysitting to coaching to volunteering
• Reliable and energetic
