Physiotherapist – NZ Defence Force

About the role

APM is seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to join its team supporting the New Zealand Defence Force. You will work with cadets, recruits and senior military staff, providing assessment, treatment and rehabilitation to help them achieve peak performance.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and treat a wide range of injuries, including concussion, pre‑ and post‑surgery cases, respiratory issues, burns and pelvic health concerns.
• Develop and deliver rehabilitation and injury‑prevention programmes tailored to military needs.
• Collaborate with military medical, training and fitness teams to optimise performance and resilience.
• Support elite, high‑performing individuals throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Required profile

• Relevant physiotherapy qualifications, professional registration and a valid practising certificate.
• Current New Zealand driver’s licence.
• Experience in musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy; minimum two years of clinical experience preferred.
• NZ or Australian citizenship.
