Nurse Manager – Modern Care Home, Hillsborough

About the role

Metlifecare is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to lead the newly built Parkside Village care home in Hillsborough, Central Auckland. This full‑time, onsite role will oversee the transition of current residents, drive occupancy of premium care suites, and maintain high‑quality clinical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and financial direction for the care team and the facility.
• Manage resident transition into the new home and promote sales of premium care suites.
• Develop and maintain flexible, smart rostering to meet staffing needs.
• Build relationships with community partners and healthcare providers to maximise occupancy.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and uphold clinical best practices.

Required profile

• NZ Registered Nurse with a current practising certificate.
• Proven leadership experience in a care‑home or aged‑care setting.
• Strong understanding of gerontological care and clinical best practice.
• Commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and financial accountability.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents, families, and external partners.
