Marketing Automation Specialist (Fixed‑term)

About the role

The Brand and Marketing Services team at Auckland University of Technology is looking for a Marketing Automation Specialist to own end‑to‑end automation on the Marketo platform. You will shape student journeys from first enquiry through enrolment and alumni engagement, using data‑driven insights to deliver impactful, personalised experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and optimise AUT’s Marketo instance, including templates, segmentation, and lifecycle workflows.
• Design, build and deploy engaging email campaigns with responsive design, A/B testing and performance tracking.
• Analyse campaign results, generate insights and drive continuous improvement across the customer lifecycle.
• Collaborate with faculties, professional services and the wider marketing team to align automation with strategic goals.
• Ensure data quality, compliance and best practices in marketing automation.

Required profile

• Passion for using technology, data and creativity to enhance marketing experiences.
• Experience designing multi‑touch, data‑driven campaigns.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate performance data into actionable recommendations.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a purpose‑driven university environment.
