IT Support Technician

About the role

We are looking for an IT Support Technician to provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support within a varied internal IT environment. This is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Mount Wellington, Auckland.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑line (Level 1) support for hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
• Escalate and resolve more complex (Level 2) incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Monitor and manage tickets in the internal ticketing system, prioritising incidents based on impact.
• Perform remote assistance and on‑site troubleshooting as required.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers and other IT equipment.
• Conduct routine maintenance, updates and patches for operating systems and applications.
• Document incident details, resolutions and contribute to knowledge‑base articles.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve the overall IT environment.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving mindset with the ability to diagnose technical issues.
• Clear communication skills for interacting with internal users.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Experience providing Level 1 and Level 2 technical support.
