Integrated Operations Engineer II – Team Z

About the role

Rocket Lab is seeking an Integrated Operations Engineer II to join Team Z at its Auckland site. In this role you will support the full lifecycle of launch operations, from stack testing through pre‑launch processing, launch, on‑orbit activities and mission disposal. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that facilities, equipment and infrastructure are ready and safe for each mission.

Key responsibilities

• Define test and operational requirements and develop Concept of Operations (CONOPs) flows.
• Plan, schedule and execute test and launch activities in line with program timelines.
• Develop, coordinate and implement procedures that enable safe and efficient testing and launch operations.
• Lead or participate in gated readiness reviews prior to integration, testing and launch.
• Configure, checkout and maintain test stands, launch pads and control centres.
• Integrate and verify test articles and flight vehicles before testing or flight.
• Install and configure instrumentation on test and flight hardware.

Required profile

• Experience with integrated testing and launch operations in a high‑technology environment.
• Ability to work across multiple engineering disciplines and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Auckland and support mission‑critical timelines.

Required skills

• Knowledge of test stand and launch pad operations.
• Familiarity with instrumentation setup and checkout procedures.
• Understanding of CONOPs development and operational planning.
