Information Officer – Pharmacy Department (Fixed Term)

About the role

The Information Officer will join the Pharmacy Department at Waverley Court, supporting the Yellow Card Centre Scotland and Medicines Information team. This fixed‑term, part‑time position involves providing information, education and training, and assisting senior pharmacists with the Yellow Card Scheme requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior pharmacist(s) in delivering MHRA‑required work for the Yellow Card Scheme.
• Promote the Yellow Card Scheme to potential reporters and compile workload statistics for MHRA.
• Analyse MHRA data and prepare Health Board and annual reports for YCC Scotland.
• Provide administrative support for databases used by Medicines Information and the Yellow Card Centre.
• Maintain administrative and paper‑based filing systems for both teams.

Required profile

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary pharmacy team.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling and reporting.
• Commitment to supporting disabled candidates and making reasonable adjustments.
• Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
