Full Stack Developer – Auckland

About the role

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our team in Auckland on a contract basis. The role involves building modern web applications using both front‑end and back‑end technologies while ensuring high performance, security and scalability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop responsive user interfaces with React or Angular.
• Implement server‑side logic using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design, build and maintain RESTful APIs, handling authentication, authorization and security.
• Integrate with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
• Write unit, integration and API tests to ensure code quality.
• Participate in code reviews, manage source control with Git and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate within a cross‑functional Agile/Scrum team.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Solid experience building applications with React and/or Angular.
• Proven backend development using Java and Spring Boot.
• Good understanding of RESTful API design, JSON, authentication, authorization and OWASP security guidelines.
• Experience with RBAC, secrets management and secure API development.
• Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB or Oracle.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design and accessibility standards.
• Experience writing unit, integration and API tests.
• Proficiency with Git, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines and Agile/Scrum delivery.
• Excellent problem‑solving, debugging and communication skills.
