Fire Alarm Service Technician

About the role

Wormald, New Zealand’s leading fire protection provider, is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Service Technician to join its high‑performing Napier team. You will work in a safety‑driven culture with industry‑leading training and long‑term career opportunities, servicing top‑tier fire alarm systems for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, fault‑find and repair fire alarm systems.
• Ensure all work complies with industry standards and meets customer expectations.
• Accurately record labour, materials and job details.
• Communicate with clients about system performance and required repairs.
• Identify opportunities to grow customer relationships and service offerings.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in the fire industry.
• Good computer literacy.
• Full NZ driver’s licence.
• Clear communication and a proactive “can‑do” attitude.
• Willingness to undergo reference, medical, criminal, and drug/alcohol checks.

Required skills

• Fire alarm system installation.
• Fire alarm system maintenance.
• Fire alarm fault diagnosis.
• Computer literacy.
