Event Services Attendant – Casual

About the role

Join Auckland Live and Conventions as a casual Event Services Attendant, working in iconic venues across Central Auckland. No prior experience is required – you will receive full training and become part of a supportive team delivering memorable experiences for patrons.

Key responsibilities

• Scan tickets and usher guests in and out of theatres and event spaces.
• Serve food, beverages and snacks during events.
• Assist with catering setup, venue preparation and food service.
• Sell programmes, show merchandise and promotional items.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and enjoyable patron experience.

Required profile

• Positive, friendly personality with a strong customer‑service mindset.
• Excellent social skills and ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds.
• Willingness to work as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• High standard of grooming and presentation.
• Interest in live arts, entertainment and events.

Required skills

What we offer

• Flexible, casual rostered work over a 7‑day period, minimum three shifts per week including evenings and weekends.
• Full training provided – no experience needed.
• Starting rate of $28.95 per hour (living wage) plus 8% holiday pay.
• Opportunity to work in renowned venues such as Aotea Centre, The Civic Theatre, and Viaduct Events Centre.
