About the role
The Event Coordinator will support the Auckland Transport Operations Centre’s Event Planning team in preparing and delivering responses to a wide range of events that affect the transport network. Working from the Takapuna office, you will help minimise disruption to customers while contributing to safe and efficient journeys.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain operational plans for events such as major sports fixtures, concerts, protests and extreme weather.
- Provide administrative and finance support, including budgeting, cost tracking and reporting.
- Coordinate temporary traffic management and other transport solutions to mitigate event impact.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure timely and effective event responses.
- Monitor event outcomes and produce post‑event analysis to improve future planning.
Required profile
- Highly positive attitude and willingness to learn within the event planning space.
- Strong administrative and finance capabilities.
- Excellent relationship‑building skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, public holidays and weekends as required.
