Customer Service Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a confident, customer‑focused Consultant to join a well‑established New Zealand insurer. The role involves delivering exceptional service across multiple channels while supporting customers with tailored insurance solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage inbound and outbound interactions via phone, email and online platforms.
• Identify customer needs and provide appropriate insurance products, including cross‑sell and upsell opportunities.
• Own the customer journey from first contact to resolution, keeping customers informed throughout.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all communications meet compliance and quality standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience in customer service or sales, preferably in phone‑based or face‑to‑face environments.
• Understanding of the New Zealand insurance industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and critical thinking.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in record‑keeping.
