Continuous Improvement Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a practical, hands‑on Continuous Improvement Engineer to work on the factory floor, partnering with production, maintenance and engineering teams. You will identify inefficiencies, analyse root causes and implement sustainable improvements that boost line efficiency, equipment reliability and overall plant performance.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and analyse process inefficiencies across manufacturing operations.
• Apply root‑cause analysis and structured problem‑solving to develop solutions.
• Design, implement and embed improvement projects into standard operating procedures.
• Monitor equipment performance, product flow and downtime to measure impact.
• Collaborate with operators and stakeholders to ensure adoption of new practices.

Required profile

• Trade qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years experience in FMCG or high‑volume manufacturing.
• Strong background in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
• Proven ability to lead improvement or engineering projects.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence at all levels.
• Experience in GMP environments; knowledge of FMECA and equipment performance analysis is a plus.
