Casual Registered Nurse

About the role

We are looking for a Casual Registered Nurse to join St Joseph's Lifecare in Upper Hutt. The role provides flexible AM, PM, night and weekend shifts, delivering high‑quality nursing care in a residential aged‑care setting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of caregivers to ensure safe, compassionate care.
• Develop, implement and monitor individual care plans for residents.
• Conduct clinical assessments and document findings accurately.
• Build lasting relationships with residents, families and general practitioners.
• Support Clinical Services and Care Home Managers in day‑to‑day operations.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Registered Nurse in New Zealand or overseas.
• Current Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
• Strong communication, interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
• Genuine passion for caring, teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Awareness of health and safety procedures.
