BAS Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated BAS Accountant to join a collaborative team that values curiosity, knowledge sharing and strong client relationships. You will work with a diverse portfolio of clients, helping them meet their financial goals while developing your own expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, income tax returns and GST for a range of clients.
• Liaise with clients to identify and address their financial needs and objectives.
• Review and mentor junior accountants.
• Consult on various client structures and provide budgeting, re‑forecasting and cash‑flow planning.
• Produce value‑added reporting, including graphical dashboards and periodic performance metrics.
• Assist clients with succession planning, acquisitions and other strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a CA firm.
• Strong analytical mindset with a passion for solving business and accounting challenges.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality, efficient and professional work.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a supportive team environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MYOB.
• Proficiency in XERO.
• Experience with other accounting software.
