Auditor – Animal Products (Bee Products)

About the role

We are looking for a technically‑minded Auditor – Animal Products to join our team on a permanent, full‑time basis. Based in the Waikato or Canterbury region, you will audit Bee product Risk Management Programme (RMP) operations to ensure compliance with domestic and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct audits of Bee products RMP operations against relevant standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assess systems, processes and documentation to verify compliance with industry and market expectations.
• Prepare clear, accurate audit reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Build strong working relationships with RMP operators and industry participants.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of domestic and international regulatory requirements affecting the apiculture industry.
• Participate in other apiculture projects as required.
• Travel within New Zealand to complete audits and inspections.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification.
• Working experience in the primary or food production sector.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong technical reporting ability.
• Detail‑oriented, analytical and a growth mindset.
• Professional integrity and accountability.
