About the role
We are seeking an Additional Teacher to work with a student in their home in Rotorua. This fixed‑term position provides 10 contact hours and 6 planning/reporting hours per week, supporting the learner’s individualized learning programme during school term time.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver personalised teaching and learning support to the assigned student in their home environment.
- Collaborate with the student’s whānau, teachers and support teams to implement the individualized learning plan.
- Prepare lesson materials, assess progress and report on outcomes.
- Allocate six hours per week for planning, documentation and reporting.
Required profile
- Current New Zealand Teacher Registration and legal right to work in New Zealand.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Supportive, well‑organized, flexible and able to engage students.
Required skills
- Computer literacy.
