Account Manager – Sustainable Packaging

About the role

The Account Manager will join Pact Packaging’s sales team to drive growth across a diverse customer base that spans FMCG to industrial sectors. This senior position focuses on delivering new volume, concepts, and market opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with top accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve gross sales and contribution targets through strategic planning and execution.
• Implement and maintain a Key Account Strategy for the top 10 accounts.
• Provide accurate weekly revenue and margin forecasts, keeping variance within 5%.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews for top accounts and produce monthly performance reports.
• Negotiate contracts, statements of work, and ensure compliance with optimal terms.
• Manage pricing strategies, monitor price indices, and address variances.
• Oversee customer satisfaction surveys and feedback loops.
• Identify and convert new customers and markets, and support product development initiatives.
• Lead tender and RFP preparation to deliver competitive bids.
• Contribute to the overall sales strategic plan, annual budgets, and account plans.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of sales experience, preferably managing large corporate FMCG accounts.
• Strong financial acumen (pricing, variable costs, gross margins).
• Industry knowledge in packaging, FMCG, manufacturing, or technical environments.
• Proven track record in new business development and contract negotiation.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Strong decision‑making and commercial judgement.
