Transport Manager

About the role

Join a leading healthcare and pharmaceutical distribution business and lead daily transport and logistics operations for a modern, highly automated distribution centre in Auckland. You will drive efficiency, ensure high service standards, and support continuous improvement across the transport function.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day transport operations, including route optimisation and KPI reporting.
• Oversee third‑party logistics providers (3PL) and monitor performance outcomes.
• Collaborate with supply chain, inventory, retail and operational teams to maintain service delivery standards.
• Lead transport team development with a focus on safety, compliance and customer satisfaction.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, expansion projects and system enhancements.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 + years of experience in transport, logistics or supply chain operations.
• Strong background in route planning, fleet operations and transport optimisation.
• Proven experience managing 3PL providers and delivering performance results.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Leadership capability to coach teams, solve problems and drive results in a fast‑paced environment.
