Trade Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator (12-month fixed term)

About the role

We are seeking a Trade Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator to support our Mitre 10 MEGA Rotorua store for a 12‑month fixed‑term covering parental leave. The role ensures that trade and DIY customers receive the right stock at the right time, contributing to smooth daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage purchasing and stock levels to maintain availability and accuracy.
• Forecast demand and support inventory planning.
• Prepare trade pricing, quotes, and customer orders.
• Assist the Trade team in maximising sales opportunities.
• Monitor stock and coordinate timely replenishment.
• Collaborate with leaders and wider teams to meet sales and operational targets.
• Deliver high‑level service to both Trade and retail customers.
• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

Required profile

• Experience in purchasing, inventory, administration, or retail (preferred).
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confidence working with data, systems, or forecasting tools.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Collaborative, customer‑first mindset.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with inventory management systems.
• Experience using forecasting tools.
