Structural Engineer

About the role

WSP is seeking a Structural Engineer to join its high‑performing structural team in Wellington. The role offers the opportunity to work on some of New Zealand’s most iconic engineering projects and contribute to consultancy services for a range of structural and civil projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of structural engineering consultancy services to clients.
• Prepare and review design calculations, drawings and specifications in line with relevant codes and standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions for infrastructure and building projects.
• Support project documentation, reporting and client communication throughout project phases.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering, preferably in Structural Engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in structural engineering with knowledge of applicable codes, standards and legislation.
• Current, clean driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Structural design and analysis.
• Familiarity with New Zealand engineering codes and standards.
