About the role
The Steward / Kitchen Porter will support the back‑of‑house operations at the Hilton Auckland Hotel, ensuring all kitchen and food service areas are clean, tidy and meet the highest hygiene standards. Working closely with the kitchen team, you will maintain equipment, manage storerooms and help deliver an excellent guest experience.
Key responsibilities
- Clean and keep tidy restaurant(s), kitchen(s) and all food outlets within the hotel.
- Maintain clean and orderly storerooms at all times.
- Ensure hygiene, health and safety standards are consistently met.
- Oversee back‑of‑house equipment, including dishwashing machines.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to provide excellent service to guests.
Required profile
- Previous experience handling and working with chemicals.
- A valid and current qualification in food hygiene or a similar certification.
- A passion for providing great service.
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
