Software Engineer – 6‑Month Contract (2 positions)

About the role

Join a skilled team in Christchurch to support and enhance existing frontend web applications. This 6‑month contract role focuses on modern technologies such as Angular, Java, and MySQL, and follows Agile development practices.

Key responsibilities

• Create business value by onboarding and supporting products within global applications.
• Develop customer‑centric solutions in close collaboration with stakeholders.
• Write clear, efficient, and modular code using widely adopted libraries.
• Design, develop, and implement innovative programs that meet user needs.
• Participate in sprint planning and contribute to priority decisions.
• Demonstrate work outcomes and share knowledge within the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1‑2 years of experience in web application development.
• Comfortable reading, modifying, and designing solutions in Java and modern front‑end frameworks.
• Strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, and a collaborative mindset.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
