Site Engineer – Civil Construction (Wellington)

About the role

Join a well‑established civil contractor in Wellington as a Site Engineer. You will be involved in the full project lifecycle, working on land development, roading, water and general civil infrastructure projects across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily site activities to meet programme targets.
• Monitor construction progress and ensure timely delivery.
• Manage subcontractors, site resources and on‑site logistics.
• Identify and resolve on‑site issues quickly and effectively.
• Oversee quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Prepare accurate site reports and documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in civil construction as a Site Engineer.
• Relevant engineering qualification.
• Strong communication and reporting abilities.
• Commitment to health, safety and quality outcomes.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Must be based in New Zealand with full working rights.

Required skills

• Knowledge of NZS 3910 contracts.
