Senior Engineering Lead

About the role

As a Senior Engineering Lead in Auror’s Risk Detection domain, you will head a team that builds and operates core detection capabilities such as License Plate Recognition (LPR) and Automatic Subject Recognition (ASR). Your work will turn high‑volume, real‑world signals into accurate, actionable alerts that help retailers and law enforcement prevent violent crime.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and grow a high‑performing engineering team focused on LPR and ASR services.
• Design, implement, and maintain near‑real‑time detection pipelines that process large volumes of vehicle and subject data.
• Ensure performance, correctness, security, and reliability at scale.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, data, and other engineering streams to align technical decisions with business goals.
• Drive engineering best practices, code quality, and continuous improvement.

• Proven experience leading senior engineering teams in high‑throughput, real‑time environments.
• Strong collaboration mindset and ability to create clarity and momentum across cross‑functional teams.
• Track record of delivering secure, scalable, and performant detection systems.
