Senior Director of Product Architecture and Engineering

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Senior Director to lead product architecture and engineering for a global digital platform that serves millions of users. This permanent role sits at the core of our digital organisation, driving the design, delivery and operation of scalable, API‑first services that power connected fitness experiences and enterprise partner platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute architecture and platform strategy, focusing on modular, composable, AI‑enabled solutions.
• Make critical build‑vs‑buy decisions and create reusable platform components to eliminate duplication.
• Lead AI‑assisted coding, automated code review, security, and agent‑based workflows to modernise engineering practices.
• Improve developer experience through autonomous product squads, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps maturity and modern metrics (DORA, flow efficiency).
• Set engineering and architecture vision, hire and develop high‑performing, diverse teams, and mentor future leaders.
• Collaborate across product, design, marketing, finance, data, security and global markets to translate business goals into technical solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and scaling real‑world products in production.
• Strong leadership with a track record of hiring, growing and retaining engineering talent.
• Ability to own outcomes end‑to‑end and drive cross‑functional partnership.
