Secondary Science Teacher – Full-time (Tauranga)

About the role

OneSchool Global Tauranga Campus is seeking a full‑time permanent secondary science teacher to start in Term 3. The role involves teaching physics, earth & space science and/or horticulture to secondary students both on‑site and via Zoom across the network of campuses.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging science lessons (physics, earth & space, horticulture) to secondary students.
• Facilitate hands‑on experiments and practical activities.
• Provide constructive feedback and assess student work in line with NCEA standards.
• Teach both in‑person classes at the Tauranga campus and remote sessions via Zoom.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum resources aligned with the New Zealand Curriculum.

Required profile

• New Zealand teaching experience, preferably at secondary level.
• Familiarity with the New Zealand Curriculum and NCEA assessment requirements.
• Ability to teach physics, earth & space science and/or horticulture.
• Strong communication skills for both face‑to‑face and virtual environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Zoom for remote teaching.
