Retail Site Security Manager – West Auckland

About the role

Join Red Badge Group as a Retail Site Security Manager for a busy West Auckland retail location. You will combine hands‑on security duties with people‑management responsibilities to create a safe, welcoming environment for customers, staff and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and schedule on‑site security teams, ensuring consistent service standards and professional conduct.
• Maintain a visible presence on the site, especially during incidents, and oversee incident response, reporting, investigations and escalations.
• Coordinate CCTV operations and support effective incident management.
• Manage staff performance, attendance, presentation and conduct; conduct inductions, training and development.
• Perform regular quality‑assurance checks and identify risks, recurring issues and process gaps for improvement.
• Build strong relationships with clients, retailers, contractors, police and emergency services.
• Promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, safety and excellent customer service.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a security leadership, supervisory or site‑management role.
• Current Certificate of Approval (COA) or ability to obtain one.
• Strong knowledge of security operations, incident management and high‑footfall environments.
• Excellent communication, conflict‑resolution and written reporting skills.
• Ability to manage performance, hold staff accountable and work under pressure.
• Professional appearance and flexible availability for 24/7 shift patterns, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
