Regional General Manager

About the role

The Regional General Manager will sit at the core of a multidisciplinary pathology network, reporting directly to the COO. This senior leadership position is responsible for driving performance, quality, and growth across the region while building strong relationships with health system partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all regional operations, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
• Drive service quality, performance metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with Health NZ and other key stakeholders.
• Recruit, mentor and develop high‑performing, multidisciplinary teams.
• Identify growth opportunities and contribute to regional strategic planning.

Required profile

• Proven general‑manager level experience in healthcare or similarly complex service environments.
• Strong commercial acumen combined with operational leadership capability.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large, geographically dispersed teams.
• Confidence operating at senior stakeholder and system levels.
